Playlists that actually get played

I used to keep one list per group. It looked tidy and I never listened to any of it. Sorting by mood fixed that.

06:30

Morning

Bright and fast, nothing with a long intro.

10:00

Focus

Instrumental versions and b-sides you already know by heart.

18:00

Gym

Anything with a dance break. Bonus points for a key change.

23:00

Late

Ballads and slow R&B. Lights off, phone down, ideally.

The one rule

If I skip a song three times, it moves out. Short lists get played, long lists get scrolled.

B-sides first

Title tracks find you on their own. The album cuts are where you find out what a group really sounds like, so give every new album one full listen in order before you pick favourites.
